I've always been very sceptical about therapy, and its ability to help me; especially when you truly believe that you are beyond help. I've now been seeing Sonia for 6 weeks, and despite my initial hesitancy, Sonia was able to coach out of me thoughts and feelings that I had been oppressing for years. Not only does she have an incredible ability to get you talking (I hate talking usually, and actively avoid interactions!), she also then furnishes you with the tools to be able to recalibrate the destructive thought processes (in my case anyway) that have led you to seek therapy in the first place. Change happens very incrementally; without you even noticing at first. But then the changes become apparent - not just to yourself, but also to others. Sonia has made the process easy to navigate and for the first time in my life, I am speaking with someone who I feel really understands me. There was no massive 'Eureka!' moment for me - but the changes (for the better) have been a constant
