I’m Sonia Sear, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience across NHS, CAMHS, social care, and private practice.

What Changes Through Therapy

Most people come feeling mentally overloaded, caught in loops of overthinking, avoidance, or self-criticism that feel hard to interrupt. 


Together, we'll work to break the cycles that keep them in place.

How I Work

CBT is structured, practical, and focused on change. We will:


  • understand the patterns keeping you stuck 
  • identify triggers and responses 
  • build practical strategies you can use day-to-day 
  • work at a pace that feels manageable


Alongside CBT, I may integrate ACT or CFT where helpful, depending on what supports change most effectively.


The aim is not just to understand what is happening, but to reduce the sense of being stuck in patterns that feel automatic or hard to control.
